Mpox
Mpox is a disease that is caused by infection with the Mpox virus, which is in the genus orthopoxvirus. Mpox transmission can occur through direct contact with lesions or bodily fluids, indirect contact through fomites (materials that were in contact with lesions or bodily fluids), and exposure to large respiratory droplets through prolonged face-to-face contact. Infection prevention and control measures can help prevent or limit the spread of Mpox in healthcare settings.
